Districts Consolidation
City Incorporation
City Disincorporation
District Formation
District Dissolution
Merger of a City & District
Establishment of a Subsidiary District
The exercise of new or different functions or classes of services, or divestiture of the power to provide particular functions or classes of services, within all or part of the jurisdictional boundaries of a Special District

You can request a record inspection or request copies of records at any time. In accordance with Government Code Section 7922.535, a response will be made within 10 days from receipt of the request. Payment in the form of a check must be received before issuance. Some files may be too large to send via email.
Charges are as follows:
Paper Copies
$2.00 for the first page
$0.20 for each page thereafter
$10.00 for Paper Maps
$20.00 for copies to be placed on a USB Flash Drive
Postage is actual cost
$50.00 per hour charges may be applicable as instructed by the Executive Officer

For most boundary changes, state law provides for a period in which landowners and registered voters within the subject territory may protest the boundary change. This protest period occurs after LAFCo authorizes a boundary change. If 25% of either the landowners or registered voters within the subject territory of the boundary change file written protest within the protest period, an election of the registered voters will be held to determine whether the boundary change occurs.
