8. CLOSED SESSION

8a. Public Employee Appointment- (Gov. Code § 54957) – Title: Executive Officer

Legal Counsel Steve Walker reported that with respect to the appointment of an Executive Officer, there was a motion by Commissioner Escobar, a second by Commissioner Castro, and a unanimous vote to enter into an employment agreement with Tyler Salcido to be the next Executive Officer for LAFCO.

9. ADJOURNMENT

Legal Counsel Steve Walker reported that the August 22, 2024, Commission Meeting is canceled, and if needed we will hold a Special Meeting. The next regular scheduled Commission Meeting is September 26, 2024.
